Question about reward fare rules.

Just viewing the rules and restrictions for a IAH-MNL ticket booked through mileage plus award. In particular, I am wondering what this means:

THE FARE COMPONENT MUST NOT INCLUDE TRAVEL VIA TICKETED
POINTS EUROPE/MIDDLE EAST/AFRICA.

This confuses me, because I have booked rewards IAH-MNL in the past through all 3 of the regions listed(IAH-FRA-ADD-BKK-MNL and IAH-IAD-DXB-BKK-MNL), and the current ticket is IAH-FRA-BKK-MNL, MNL-BKK-FRA-IAH which seems like in itself should violate this rule, yet I was still able to book the ticket. Am i missing something here?

just take the ticket, enjoy it, and thank the award heavens that UA doesnt have stupid award rules, like, for example, AA, or the availability of DL.
