UA 767 GF vs LOT 787 Business class
Hi everyone,
I'm looking at booking some award travel from Europe to Chicago this summer. Which would be a better product, a United 767 in Global first or the new 787 business class with LOT ?
I imagine the seat will be good on both, but in general which has better food and service ? I know LOT has not starting flying the 787 yet, but in general how is there service and food in comparison to UA GF class ?
Thank you so much for your thoughts !

I would forget about LOT, even with a new config.

I would not pay the extra miles/money for UA GF, ever. But at this point, the 78Lemon may not even fly by summer, so for that reason only I would be weary of booking LOT

I've flown LO C a few years back and the food wasn't that great. Though UA GF food was also very underwhelming. I expected flying GF that I would get something better than in C but the meals were the same except a soup. I would just save the miles and fly UA C or LO C.

The prospect of a swap to a LOT 763ER with subpar seats looms large amidst the 787 issues. I would go with UA and hold out for availability on airlines with better J products like LX, OS, TK, even LH or SK.

Considering that all 787s are grounded right now with no end in sight, and that the LOT 767 product is pretty crappy, I'd definitely take United GF. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush...

That's what I thought, too, but not being an expert on LO, I did not want to comment and be wrong.

I have never claimed UA to be the best. And again, comparing UA to LO, I'm not referring to the comparison between MP and M&M.
That being said, UA is SQ next to LO. My experiences with them have been very sub-par, and this is on a bunch of EWR-WAW/WAW-EWR and TLV-WAW/WAW-TLV routes, so it's both the 767 and 737. The hard product is certainly nothing to write home about, and the soft product was virtually non-existent in Y, and barely there in C.
