Experiences with SK availability through MP?

Has anyone had any luck securing awards on SK?

I'm in particular watching an intra-Europe flight for this weekend -- shows J8 D8Y8 and no MP availability according to the 1K desk...

Is this something like LH where I can hope it'll open up 24-28 hrs out? Any experiences?

I've had success both within a few days and a few months of travel. Also very recently.
Not sure if if SK opens up more award close to departure.

That it's a lot of availability in J, D and Y only means that the flight is far from full. Intra-Europe there is only seatblocking of the middle seat. Btw, Y on SK is Premium Economy that you can't redeem with MP.

False SK award space?

Curious if this has happened to anyone else - clearly found 2 award seats in C EWR-CPH next April (part of a larger itinerary). Verified on UAL.com as well as other award space sites/tools. Now 36 hours post-reservation the message in the PNR is still saying:

There is a delay in the issuance of your ticket(s). We have requested confirmation of your flights from SAS Scandinavian Airlines System. This process may take up to 24 hours. Your miles will not be deducted from your account until your flights are confirmed and your ticket is issued. We will notify you via email upon confirmation.

UA rep I just spoke with says SK is not giving up the space. Is this a different example of the LH "phantom" inventory? Any way to force this ticketing through? Or am I SOL here realistically at this point?

Thanks. I hate the lack of instant ticketing.

Just booked ARN-ORD on SK in I for Oct 2013, no issues, was able to choose seats, etc.

Still hoping for LH availability to open up closer to travel date.

In March I was able to book 2 SK biz award seats (CPH-IAD) for June travel. The award space showed up on UA's website. There was no delay in ticketing. This was the only biz routing I could find out of IST (IST-CPH-IAD-SFO). However, due to the recent events in Istanbul, I decided not to visit Istanbul.
