15A is half the price of 7A. I'm guessing its mainly because it doesn't recline. this doesn't really bother me. Are there any other drawbacks?

The other reason is that 7A is a great seat, with a ton of open space in front.

One additional thing to keep in mind about row 15 is that while you can't recline, the pax in front of you in row 12 can.

Greetings everyone:

Will be flying on UA1933 IAH to PUJ on May 5, 2017. What version of the 787-800 is this supposed to be? It has 37 rows of seats with Business, Economy Plus and Economy. Economy starts from row 22.

Thanks, what would be the version on seatguru, is this the ones that has row 23 with Directv equipment in the overhead that makes it smaller and the seats can be noisy because of the Directv?

I've booked 7B & 7C for a YVR-EWR nonstop this summer. Is there access to underseat storage in the F cabin from these seats, or is there a bulkhead that limits such storage?

There is a bulkhead but does not extend all the way down to the floor. 7A/C/D/F are my favorite seats on the 73G/738.

Right. Just like the Airbus. Occasionally the FAs won't let you put stuff there. Awesome seats though. More comfortable than F if you have an open middle.

Thanks. I've got two RPU's queued up, but given the lack of R space these days, I'm expecting to get them back after the flight.

Seat 7F or 1st class for a red-eye?

I am booked in 7F, but there is R space available for a red-eye from San Fran to Washington. Is it worth an RPU to upgrade? There is no meal on the red-eye, and in 7F you can lean against the wall to sleep. 1st has a wider seat, but it's too far from wall to lean on.

Ok, I've got a similar question. On a 737-800 with E+ (v3 on seatguru) I can pick between 1B and 3B. I don't really care for a bulkhead (don't like it much) so it's all about legroom. It's a 5 hour redeye so being able to sleep is key.

Seatguru says that 1B is lacking a "footrest" - admittedly I never noticed UA has those in domestic first.

Any advice on what to pick would be appreciated!

Exit row seat padding

How is the seat cushion padding in rows 20 and 21?

To update my own post, I sat in Row 21 in a version 3 with DirectTV. The seats certainly feel different on the butt. After about 2 hours I had to get up and move around due to discomfort. My hypothesis is that because the seats in the exit rows have a little less depth there is more butt pressure per square inch on the seat cushion, which makes them feel less padded. After this experience I prefer the non-exit-row E+ seats on this plane.

First class seats row 1 vs row 2

On a 737-800 from Sacramento to Dulles with my 10 year old daughter. Currently have seats 2A and 2B. Should we change to seats 1A and 1 B. Or keep what we have it a 5 hour flight. Just would like opinions
Thank you

Do you care about have storage space under the seat in front of you?
That would not be an option for 1A/B.

I prefer 1B because I don't like the seat in front of me reclining into my "space" and it is easier for 1A to exit then it is for 2A
