Actually, a couple of UA pilots mentioned that there are no policies regulating the cabin temperature. I personally like the cooler temp but can easily tolerate any setting between 65 and 80 F.
I must have missed their posts! I find it astounding that there wouldn't be a policy for such a controllable thing that so greatly impacts the comfort of everyone on board. Really amazes me.

+1

And the cost probably varies, so they can save some money here... really weird.

Thermostat

Kind of a odd question. Yesterday on flight 1251 from BOS to ORD on a A319 it was very warm. Uncomfortable warm. I asked the FA if it was possible to cool it off a bit. I wasn't the only one. You could see people fanning them selves and little or no air from the vents. I was told the temp could not be changed. Is this true? Who and where can it be changed. It was over 80 I am sure.

The FAs have the ability to change temperatures in the cabins; there might have been an issue with that system working properly?

The cabin temperature controls in the 737, 757, 767, and A320/319 are in the flight deck. The F/As have to call us to change it.
