Still possible to credit only one segment to a different *A program?

I know this was possible pre-3/3....

After a status match to Turkish Airlines there are conflicting reports as to whether you actually have to credit miles to them in order to receive the card.

I know that pre-3/3 I could ask the CSR (or do at the kiosk) to put the last short leg of a multi-segment itinerary for credit to a different program.

Is that still possible? Just want to make sure that trying that now doesn't lead to the entire itinerary getting credited elsewhere than UA.

Best is to leave reservation as is.. with UA MP number on the main reservation.

Then usually prior to boarding, at the gate, for the flight you want credited to another FFP, you just whip out your FFP card and hand to agent and say to them to change your FFP to this one for this flight. Try to get them to reprint you a new BP.

That usually works. Make sure that the following flights still have your UA MP in it.

A good phone agent can easily put the number on just one segment.

Thanks to you both. I wonder if this is still possible to do at the kiosk as well?

So my father just tried this on a pair of US flights (and trying to credit the latter one to TK) and got denied. They told him it's all on one FFP or another, cannot be changed. Hm.

We're not in the US forum - we're in the UA forum.

US won't let you do this - UA can.

Oops, indeed - sorry, my bad.

Would you know if I call in mid-trip on US and change a FFP#, whether it would retro-change the segments already flown? Wondering if it's worth the risk or not and the flight is in 45 mins from now, hehe.

FWIW I was able to change UA / AC flights at the gate with no questions asked, but not US.

Does anybody know if there is/will be a sale for BF this summer?

Does anybody know if there is/will be a sale for BF this summer as has been in the past?

Usually Europe has had good Z class discounts around this time of year for the upcoming summer.

If you know, then you probably can not talk about. If you don't know, all you can do is speculate.

There usually is. I have gotten good fares the past few years. This year on Jan 30 I managed to get a business ticket (P fare) ORD-LHR for 6/26-7/17 for $1,957. I assumed that was the start of the summer sale but the very next day the same ticket was back over $3,000 and it has stayed there ever since.

I bought my P class super-discount fare to LHR about a month ago for summer vacation. Excellent price on business!

They will come and go through summer. Did SFO-LHR for 1700 last year and just booked SFO-HEL for 1900 this year.

LH has already started a summer F (A) class sale on 3 cabin flights (including flights operated by LX & UA). I don't normally EVER buy tkts more then 30 days in advance but as I will be in NY most of July, I checked the F fare from JFK - NICE & was able to book 2 tkts for us from JFK-FRA-NCE on LH returning thru ZRH on LX (both TATL flights in F) for $4600 each. Might not sound cheap but compared to the normal F fare on this route, it's over a 50% savings. They are running this sale from now thru July for flights from June - Sept (60 day advance).

** You have to be careful what flights you choose. They are selling 2 cabin on UA & AC as F at the same fare (JFK-FRA-NCE on LH 747 3 cabin is same price as EWR-FRA-NCE on a UA (LH code share 2 cabin)
