It's located in the non-schengen F area. I arrived in DC so some <10min walk.
Is it better than the Sheraton? I don't know but I didn't need to exit the airport.
Plus we now know that UA J has access to the airside mercure showers.
What was the fee for the shower?

Free for BF and GF pax. Just like the Sheraton. It's a UA amenity. See thread: BusinessFirst Arrivals in Europe.

Yup. Free for J and F. I was on a upgraded ticket from a W fare to business using a GPU and no issues using it for free.

Bit of a bump - anyone know what facilities, if any, are offered for arriving Polaris passengers?

Nothing, sorry. UA shut down the arrivals perk a couple years ago.

There is none for arrivals only.
This ancient thread concerned a practice closed down in 2016, BusinessFirst Arrivals in Europe (discontinued)

For general AMS lounge discussion -- Amsterdam lounge options for the UA traveler
But none are arrival lounges, need onward travel for access.

So given the discontinuance of the program sometime back and a more up-to-date lounge thread, will close this older thread.
