Not sure what to do... Help!
I had a reservation booked for return from EWR-BUF(Y)-ORD(F)-ELP(F) , however the flight from BUF to ORD got changed to a RJ so no more F and connection time was only 25 minutes , spoke to a rep who put me on EWR-IAH(F)-ELP, now looking at the reservation EWR-IAH is snack flight. A snack on a 4 hour flight! I want to change it back now what should I do? I enjoy UX F class . Note: this is booked using saver pass first miles for July.

Uaflyer,
i dont think you could change it now with out some type of penalty, with a 25 minute connection in ord it would be a illegal connection so it could not be rebooked to the original itin. with the schedule change was the rebooking fee waived i hope?

I just found out there is safer first availability from BUF-Ord-elp with an hour in ORD. Not sure if I should call about it , and yes the change fee was waived as this is out of 21 days according to the rep.

Did the rep know that you'll be in F? Anyway, I wouldn't change based on the availability or not of a delicious airline meal. If in fact it's confirmed that all you'll get is a snack, pick up something to munch on at the airport.
In addition, changing reservations unnecessarily at UA these days is opening up a can of worms. No way of knowing how things might get screwed up with a revised itinerary.

I don't know.
A snack on a EWR-IAH segment (includes a total of two legs),
or stick with three legs (including a 25 minute connection and whatever service they are offering).
I don't see any flight even close to 4 hours, and I guess the departure and arrival times don't matter.
Too complicated of a routing for me. I don't know what to do on this trip!

Called again and was vigorously questioned why I wanted to make my trip longer, then told no availability although online there is... Guess I'm going to have keep calling until I find a csr who cares...

Routing got changed , now EWR-IAH(F)-ELP(y only) and am wondering since I'm still on a saver first Award ticket is it possible to get F from IAH-ELP if UA (usually does) swap the CRJ-200 for a -700 or 737?

I had 13 schedule changes last night. Clicked O.K. this morning on one award (3 seats) from LAS-SFO-NRT-BKK with a 1/2 hour time change btw LAS & SFO. Looked at it tonight and it's a CRJ200 from LAS toSFO. Called and gotter changed to a later A319 without any problem when I stated that my wife will not fly on a small plane. 1K agent said that since there was a change of time and aircraft no biggie.
But this was a very seasoned CSR agent who probably knew how to sell it to her supervisor, and knew the right reasons.
Don't know if it's done for everyone, especially once you agree to a change, but it worked for me tonight!
Give-em a call! Can't hurt, but have your new preferred flights handy when you call and politely request them by time and flight #'s.
