How long do we have to wait
Sitting on the ground in IAD waiting for 40 minutes now past departure time for two mechanics who are deadheading(?) To CMH with us. Captain just offered free booze and told us United Operations told him he'd wait until they showed before pushing back. We originally were told 15-20 minutes....40 min ago. *sigh*

CMH was a hotbed of cancelled flights:
5132 to EWR(Inbound A/C got there, not coded for cancel reason)
763 to DEN (Mechanical)
1754 to DEN (Mechanical)
Chances are one needed a specific part, or a specialized mechanic which was not readily available in CMH. While unfortunate that the OP got delayed, stuff happens.
Looks like OP pushed 44 minutes late, with an estimated arrival just over 30 late. Not awful, but if one was looking forward to bed, a bit of an inconvienience.

Yes, I almost felt bad about posting this because the mechanics we were waiting for boarded right after I submitted it. 
The captain didn't spare the whip on the flight home so that helped a bit, but any extra time in a RJ is never "quality" time.
