Fare Lock Fun
Made 2 reservations using Fare lock tonite

They of course are not listed under manage my reservations

I get my email confirmation its blank of course
No flight info no confirmation number empty blank
except for one link "manage my reservation"
What do you think happens when you click it? Error codes

how long were you planning on holding the res? There is a free way to do a 24hr (midnight following day) hold

3 days for 4 dollars

i would do the 24 hr but dont trust UAL.com to give a refund nowadays in a timely manner :-)

naw, just select pay with cash. It puts a 24hr hold on the res and you can go back in online and ticket. (no additional fee)

In the past the 24 hour always seemed to work well. Then again we'll see with the post merger UA!

On the search I just did, Fare Lock doesn't appear for a single one of the many flight options.

Fare lock is only offered on itin's where UA operates all segments. So if there is a partner segment in there somewhere, then it will never be offered.

Both segments are United Express.

Last week did a fare lock for an itin where both segments were United Express.

So I still don't get it.

Avoid FareLock. I got double charged by UA when I tried to use FareLock recently.

I cancelled a fare within 24 hours about three weeks ago and it worked fine. Credit card was credited in about three days.
