This flight segment is waitlisted
That is showing in red on the web site for a reservation in April for which I requested an upgrade using a CR1.
But tomorrow's UDU upgrade shows no indication of a waitlist, which I thought would be the case on the new UA.
Why does waitlist show for one and not the other?
(Sorry don't know the new waitlist terms yet.)

GPUs and RPUs will be shown as waitlisted.
UDUs aka EUAs/CPUs do not show waitlisted.
If you check in, you can view your spot on the upgrade list at mobile.united.com. (Functionality is not yet available on united.com)

You can definitely check in today, exactly 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure tomorrow, and print your boarding passes also. At that time you will be able to see your position on the upgrade list, but only people that have already checked in are available to be seen on the list.
