United Club Card Received - Presidential Plus Cardholder

Today, I received my United Club Card as a Presidential Plus Cardholder with an expiration date of 02/2013.

If you are logged into FlyerTalk, you should be able to see what the card looks like. I think it a huge improvement over the previous year's card.

I like that it lists the Star Alliance Lounge on the left hand side. That should help with lounge access traveling abroad regardless of my FF Status.

I've had this style card for several months (4 or 5).

Exactly the same as mine.

What do the latest UC cards without the PP Credit Card association look like?

i guess I'm late to the party then. I had the older style Continental one which was a horizontal card in baby blue and white.

You mean 2/13 I believe, I first thought they sent you an already expired card.

weird

I got mine a few weeks ago after renewing with miles at the behest of the temporary discontinuity warning for use of miles, and although I am a 1K, it does not indicate status, just has the Star Alliance "Lounge Access"

That's correct; the normal UC card does not indicate status, just your club access & your MP #.

I believe the ones for those with lifetime UC access through ... 2MM status? ... do have that on them, but I'm not sure.

Interesting that they sent these out with "Presidential Plus" listed up top, since it sounds as if they are discussing changing the card to something different. At least that seems to be the discussion...or perhaps if they change the name of the card they will just have to send out new United Club cards. Hopefully I will receive mine soon as I still have the old Continental card for the lounge, which NEVER seemed to work well overseas.

The free united Club cards for us 2MM milers just have name, old MP number and a date valid through Jan 31, 2013.

Smile late to the party

It's June 11, 2012, and I just got my vertical United Club card today. It doesn't have an expiration date, and that's a good thing, because as a Lifetime Member, I wouldn't want United to be picking my expiration date.
