Now all the flights and other activities since my last statement on August 5 have "disappeared" when I login to MP and also when I click on the link to view activity since my last statement!
The actual miles and segments are still accurate, but I'm getting tired of dealing with these bizarre errors on the MP web site. |
Mine are gone as well. My flight on 9/1 which posted on Monday shows up in my YTD miles. My flight from 9/5 is not included in the YTD, but that's no surprise there. Most Recent Activity shows as: No recent activity.

Any other 1Ks still having troubles with not appearing on the upgrade list at the airport despite receiving email confirmations from United? It happened to me again today on United PS flight 220 from SFO to JFK. I just don't understand what is going on here. I'm traveling on a system wide upgrade too with the aim of moving from coach to business. The gate agents had no record of my status, upgrade request and had no record of my being on the upgrade list. After 20 minutes on the phone between the agent and tech support I finally appeared on the list at number 4 and only received a seat after someone else was a no-show. I can understand this stuff occurring in March but we are now in September and this very scenario keeps happening to me even when I am on Y, B and M fares. UGH!!!

Erm, their IT is crap? They don't care about the customer ? I could go on.

I had to speak with an agent just this morning about a seating issue (my seat was changed from PAID biz to economy plus) and was told that my name did not appear on the waitlist for a flight from NRT to ORD in early November. GPU has been used for upgrades so I want to be sure I'm on that list!!! Grrrrr (I did not know this problem even existed until the agent told me I was not on the list)
I wish UA would get their act together about changing seats!! Even after I've called and talked with an agent, my record still shows an economy plus seat although "her computer" says I have seat 6H (or whatever). WHY can't my own computer show the correct information? And why do two of my upgraded itins show 0% EQM earned, when they are PAID flights on UA!! One of the itins with 0% is a paid biz upgrade! The other one was upgraded with RPU until an aircraft change to an AC with no first class. I got my RPU returned to me, but now the itin says 0% EQMs earned. Hey... it's a PAID ticket. Come on, UA... fix the glitches, PLEASE! Gettin' frustrated here. |
Don't know if this is just a 3/3 issue or not but it is an issue with present IT systems.
Had to cancel a paid non-refundable flight. It was moved to the INACTIVE group. About a month later, booked a new flight making use of the cancelled flight to fund the new flight (and received an ecert for the remainder). So, new itin, same old PNR and an ecert. All as expected. However new itin is still in the INACTIVE groups. Waited a few days, still INACTIVE group. Called and explained to RA, who at first said this wasn't possible and then transfer me to the Help Desk. Help Desk looked at for awhile, when on hold for awhile, tried something, hold again and then finally said they would have to send a report to someone else and it would take 24-48 hours (since past). BTW, while in the INACTIVE group, waitlisted RPU cleared and was able to select new seat. Any ideas or suggestions? (other than to wait or just leave it). |

Any ideas or suggestions? (other than to wait or just leave it). BTW: Only advice I have is to call back or ask for web support; I managed an itinerary closer to 3/3 where that happened and they were able to revive the reservation. I don't know why because everything was a mess then so I didn't really focus. |
More fun with incorrect equipment types and seat maps.
Two passengers on 9/15 Flight 1140 DEN->SJC, and it was booked two days ago as a 737-900. At time of booking the equipment listing/original seat map reflected this. Now the web site lists a 737-900, but the seat map shows a 737-500. The brilliant reseating algorithm stuck us both in middle seats, different rows. Since the plane went from 170 to 100 seats, there's nothing open to change seats. Thanks a lot. Spoke with a representative and they say that there was no equipment change. So either the web site was originally wrong, or the backend systems don't correctly show equipment changes (or the rep is wrong). |

My guess is that sometime in the last two days, there was an equipment change and the 737-500 is being used as a placeholder so the flight does not hugely oversell. I do not think the agent was wrong given the information presented to them.

Earning PQM on *A partners
Wondering if anyone has any experience of actually getting PQM's on *A partners as specified for each airline by fare class on this page:
http://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/mark...ePartners.aspx I'm looking at a TATL itin on Air Canada and the reservation indicates the following on segments in L class on AC metal: Award Miles/Premier Qualifying*: 3,684 /0% Award Miles/Premier Qualifying*: 3,999 /0% Award Miles/Premier Qualifying*: 437 /0% Based on the airline partners section of their website, these segments in L should count as 100% PQM's. I tried emailing UA customer service a month ago to confirm which part of united.com is correct, but have not received a response. Anyone have any firsthand experience getting PQM's on partner airlines? |

With a TATL you probably have not concerns but there are some cases where AC Discount Economy N, G, P, E, A (fare class) Flights within Canada and between Canada and the continental U.S. (including Hawaii) for the listed purchased fare classes are not eligible for mileage accrual. |

Interesting. That might explain the web site discrepancy. I'm just glad we still have seats if it really did go to a 735. Guess I'll find out soon.

I’ve flown many UA/LH itineraries (PMUA) and have never had an issue with the miles crediting in a timely manner, so my hunch is that this may be due to the system integration…so posting here. Is anyone else having trouble with miles posting for flights booked with UA prior to March 3?
We recently had a trip from the US to Croatia with the first flight on UA and the remaining three flights on LH (2 pax). Tickets were booked in February and were “Z” fare basis. Travel started on August 31 and the return was just over a week ago. I made no changes to this reservation after I booked it—i.e., other than whatever happened to it in the system conversion, there were no other adjustments other than accepting a couple of very minor schedule changes. Sixteen days after the outbound, not even the initial UA flight had posted—for either of us. I submitted claims via the missing mileage form, and a couple of days later, the UA flight posted for both of us and husband also received miles for the transatlantic LH flight on the return; I did not. The two intra-European flights haven't posted for either of us. I’ve just filed the missing miles credit for the first LH flight on Sept 1 and understand that I have to wait up to 14 days on that. Then, I expect I’ll have to do the same for the return flights in another week or so. I have one more trip this year on a ticket booked before 3/3—for travel shortly before the end of the year when I’ll want to see the miles post in a timely manner to hit my status goal—and hoping not to encounter the same. |
