3/3 onward - what we don't know yet

I've seen references in different threads - there are a lot of aspects of the new UA that we still have no clue on, and amazingly enough we're only 25 days out from the big day.

A few things I can think of, in no particular order:

1. MP *A/partner airline earning (the most important IMO)
2. F class meal order taking
3. GTEM certificates - will they exist?
4. How many drink chits / who gets them
5. Future of legacy UA/CO credit cards
6. SDC policy
7. Miles flown crediting - direct vs. by segment
8. Future of paper VDB vouchers
9. On-board appreciation certificates
10. Frankenflights! (scope clause)
11. Luggage tags
12. Award tix - MPP+15% or "anything"
13. CO.com Club / Travelbank
14. Complimentary UC membership for European elites

Has there been an analysis of the inconsistencies between *A/Partner earning schedules as they stand today? I'd be curious to know how big of a discrepancy there is.

Paid C/J is a big difference - CO gives a 50% EQM bump on most, if not all *A airlines, whereas UA only gives it on the ATI partners IIRC (LH/NH/AC/US).

There's the 500 mile min. on US - CO gives it, UA does actual miles.

Think UA is more generous on some of the LH cheaper fare buckets too (WSL gets 100% vs. 50% on CO).

Also what's going to happen to the existing varieties of MP Visa cards that are out there. I've seen a lot happening on the CO side. However, for those of us with the MP Club Visa (similar to PP), I have yet to get an answer out of UA or Chase on what's going to happen to that. Will it be convertible to the UACO version?

CO's version gives better perks than UA's for about the same price.

Don't look for this right away. Chase perks are not subject to 3/3 announcements, IMO.

That issue may be somewhat out of UA's hands (and presumably your card would keep it's benefits indefinitely as long as you keey paying for it)...I'll add it to the list though.

WOW! Time to get some bookings done!

(see this is how it works... I got E+ taken from me and now this crumb is making me giddy with excitement!)

It's info like this that reminds me why I love FT!

As someone that takes frequent short hops from DCA on US, I'm hoping it stays the CO way!

Same Day change policy. PMCO's is 24 hours before departure time, I am not sure what PMUA policy has in place but some airlines allow a change only on the same calendar day (i.e. midnight until departure time)

Partner earning and 500 min's are important to me.

Will the new coffee be drinkable?!?

(Okay, okay, that's a 3/1 question, but... close enough)

An actual 3/3 question: What the heck is going to happen with frankenflights -- which of their irritating properties will change and which won't?
