Are the CO drink vouchers still good on UA?

Ok, I'm on a rewards flight from ATL to IAD on a small CRJ700. First class is wide open & I'm 1K. I asked nicely if I could have an empty seat up front. The counter agent said no way. CO would have allowed but it's going to be interesting with UA and their iron clad rules about upgrades.

Rewards flight are not eligible for upgrade for 1K unless you have the Explorer card. Why should you get special treatment and have the rules bent for you?

OP - changing what you wrote to write about drink vouchers really isn't fooling anyone.

Wayne0301 - if you got the upgrade to F on CO on an award ticket you presumably already carry a CO branded credit card that carries that benefit. And that will continue post merger on 3/3/12 for both UA and CO operated flights. Until then, you don't get that benefit.
If someone did it out of the kindness of their heart in the past, then you should be grateful for the one-time benefit and be glad you can redeem miles for travel rather than having SkyPesos on DL. And if you wish to fly in the premium cabin you may want to consider using the required number of miles for a seat there.

Not sure what the point of this thread is; the OP is welcome to PM me if they wish to ask for it to be reopened.
