Halfway to Hawaii is staying on the new United

Great news - Halfway to Hawaii is staying on the new United.

In addition, to further align product offerings between sUA and sCO, effective November 1, 2011, the Halfway to Hawaii game will be expanded to include all sCO flights from the U.S. Mainland to all Hawaiian destinations.

Yet another positive for former CO flyers and a neutral for former UA flyers.

Might be easier on CO since CO has the moving map on the PTV.

It might be a fairly important part of other people's
infrequent flights away from home.

Glad to hear that at least something from PMUA is sticking around. Now if only we could see some changes that benefit UA customers.

Great!

Now any news on giving a better prize than that CD?

Maybe miles or a $10 ecert would be better (atleast for me).

Working in DC is frustrating sometime due to all the tourist. Inevitably, whenever I'm in a rush to catch the Metro, there's an out-of-towner blocking the escalator. But I always try to keep in mind that for some people, a trip to our Nation's capital is a major family vacation. I would never want to do anything to diminish their DC experience. So I just try and remember how fortunate I am to live where I do.

Halfway to Hawaii and Mai Tai's are the little things that get me excited when we travel to Hawaii for our vacation.

For those of us who are from Hawaii, but live on the mainland, the Halfway to Hawaii game is one of those United things that remind you that we'll be home soon.

Yeah, the new flights to Hawaii (and elsewhere) are really a detriment to the passenger experience.

Ironic, given this recent thread :

You can probably dig a few out of this thread:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...d-threads.html

Short version: the math will get you in the ballpark, but the variation is such that it's really pretty much a guessing game (and one in which being 30 seconds off is often not good enough).
