TfL strike scheduled Sun 7 - Fri 12 Jan 2024 [now suspended]

For awareness if visitors have not picked this up elsewhere there's a strike due to affect TfL services next week for 4 whole days with impacts on the eve and morning after.

It is possible that some last minute negotiations may find a compromise and the strike is postponed or cancelled, but there's no sign of that yet.

For Heathrow, if the strike goes ahead, the Piccadilly line (and all other tube lines) will likely have no service. Elizabeth line should run but will be busy and some stations may be closed due to lack of staff.

For the detail see https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/strikes

This is a very severe strike indeed. It's the first time I can recall there being four days in a row of essentially no Tube service.

If it goes ahead, it will make London very difficult to get around in next week. Do make sure you plan your journeys and alternative routes well ahead, especially if you have planes or trains to catch or appointments to make.

Sadly it looks like it will be going ahead. Mainline stations will be mayhem as the only advice from London’s mayor is to take a bike, hardly practical when carrying bags.

Talk about a last minute deal, a promise of more money and the strike is suspended, for now.

Came to post the same.

But TFL still warning of issues Sunday and Monday as trains and staff may not be in position for a regular service.
