American Traveling from Paris to London via Train

I'm a vaccinated and boostered US passport holder. I will be in Paris and thinking about spending 3 days in London before traveling back to USA in April 2022 (via train from Paris to London). Obviously, these things change frequently, but as I understand it for vaccinated Americans, I do not need any kind of covid test to enter UK from France and also do not need to quarantine. Did I understand that correctly?

Based upon the announcements made today by the UK Government and starting in 11th Feb, you are correct. You might need to still complete a passenger locator form. But you would be better off asking a couple of weeks ahead of travel again as April is a long way away in COVID times for rules to change.
