Lateral Flow tests through security

I have a flight booked for September and plan on taking a few lateral flow test packs with me for my safety & sanity and that of those I'll be travelling to see.

Does anyone have any experience or official guidance on taking Lateral flow tests through security? This is over and above the Qured one I have booked for return to the UK purposes.

Do the security accept lateral flow kits as medical devices exempt from the liquid limits. We're talking about 14 0.3ml containers after all!

I realised I've been carrying the cassette and a few liquid "pipettes" from an NHS LFT in my backpack in my last 2-3 flights and no one said a word at any of the security checks. This includes T5. I should add that they weren't in the liquids bag but rather at the bottom of the backpack together with that humus of shop receipts and scraps of paper that deposits there over time...

Been through security in the UK, UAE, Qatar and the US in the last month with my rip off device in my bag and no one has bat an eyelid.

I think the worst that would happen is that you would be asked to put the small liquid items in a ziploc and asked to go round again.

In practice it will never happen, based on my experience.

To echo the other posters... I've had one in my carry-on through security checks in multiple countries this year - Qatar, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Heathrow T5 and T2 - without attracting any attention. Where I've been carrying multiple tests they've gone in my hold luggage though, and I've always popped out my baggy of liquid toiletries separately in the tray.

I've had water bottles and juice cartons in my hand baggage that I forgot about, and they went through the X-ray in several countries without being picked up
