Arriving at T3 in LHR, can I go through immigration at T2?

I am landing on an AA flight tomorrow in T3. Will have wife and baby daughter. If the line is too long, can we take the bus and do immigration at T2, where lines tend to be much shorter? We'll have no checked in bags.

thanks!

Yes. But I more commonly go from T3 to T5 if it’s evening time.

By the time you have walked to the bus stop, waited for and taken the bus, then walked to the border at T2 you'd more than likely have been cleared at T3

Depending on your status and cabin class you may be able to get fast track immigration pass from AA

Having been through T3 immigration 4 times since January, I can't believe that your solution would be quicker.

You can but I wouidn't bother if I were you. The lines at T3 are not so long that it's faster to go down to the transfer bus and spend another 20-30 minutes getting to the end of the (perhaps equally long) queue in T2.

I came through T3 immigration this past Thursday around 12 noon and the line was backed up into the hallway. Luckily I signed up for Registered Traveler and got to use gates. That even took 20 minuets.

How were the lines over at T2?

The Border Farce of long waits to enter the UK is because of increased Border Force hostility to visitors (“Tougher Checks”, “Hostile Environment “, etc) and decreased Border Force staffing, which also apply to Terminal 2.

Can't comment on T2 but all of the immigration desks in T3 had officers working them. Additionally all of the e gates were operational. There were just a lot of people entering the UK.
