BA v EI

Idly checking flights and times, I entered teh same details on both britishairways.com and aerlingus.com and got wildly different prices for the same flights:
Aer Lingus
ORK-LHR
EI 710 17/9 0720-0845
€35.99

LHR-ORK
EI 723 5/10 1815-1935
€90.99

Total = €126.98
British Airways
ORK-LHR
BA 5926 17/9 0720-0845
€253.00

LHR-ORK
BA 5923 5/10 1815-1935
€253.00

Total = €505.10 (90c off for something?)
I have no idea why the huge discrepancy (taxes?) -- what have I done wrong?

I suspect they are booking into different fare buckets.

Ah, that makes sense. The BA t+c makes mention of one checked bag and free time/date changes, so that matches the EI 'flex' fare, so although we're still about €150 apart, this is using EI's own scheme. I daresay I'd get a lot closer if I used the matrix software to determine the actual classes.

Thanks for cluing me in.
