Accommodation in Salisbury

Hi,

We’ll need a Saturday night stay in August for 3 (parents and a 4 yrs old girl) in Salisbury. Where do you suggest that has good value? Our girl can share a queen or king size bed with us if needed.

Thanks.

Can't give you a personal recommendation (I've only ever stayed in Winchester when down that way), but this place has always intrigued me. Certainly not luxury, but what a location!

I have stayed there for a few weeks a couple of years ago. It was a fabulous location, wonderful at night when the gates were closed and the visitors gone. There was a lovely atmosphere and the conversation at breakfast was fun! The refurbishment will be a boon. This would certainly meet the OP's request for "good value".

I was working in the area for about six months and tried a few places for variety. My favourite was Howards House, and I have returned a few times to stay there, and loved it on each stay. Food is fabulous. Worth every penny, but my expenses might not be the OP's.

A place would need to be in the city center or at a walking distance and preferably 3-4 stars. Thanks.

Great to hear.
I often find a polite tone giving a certain amount of helpful information when making a suggestion for help from total strangers goes a long way , as in the first post in this thread.
