TWA Platinum?
Someone posted that you can get Platinum status by converting in 100,000 AMEX miles. But in the Aviators manual it says that you need to fly 100,000 actual miles? What is the trust?
Would this apply to lifetime platinum if you converted 1 million miles?

Now that TWA is again in Chapt 11, it would be a very tarnished Platinum indeed. Am I overlooking an exciting opportunity here?

It was 100,000 ACTUAL miles, but they recently changed that and I thought it was 100,000 miles from any partners too, which includes AMEX rewards??? I would double check with the TWA Aviators desk before I did something like this. Also, it would take 200,000 AMEX points to get 100,000 TWA miles if the conversion rate is 2:1
I'm not a member of AMEX rewards so I don't know anything about that program.

Well, it's 1:1 (Diners Club is 2:1)...but Aviators said they AMEX miles wouldn't qualify.
Otherwise, I think the miles will convert over and it's an interesting way to get back door AA miles?
