Finally... twa.com is updated
Well, the folks at twa.com have finally increased the functionality of the booking engine part of the website to standards found elsewhere. Even though they were using the ITN.com engine it always mystified me that the S and Z fare codes were excluded from being displayed. I'm not sure what advantage they were trying to gain from not including those.
They must have been having some troubles with the upgrade because the dot.com fares yesterday were totally screwed up for most of the day. They were finally posted sometime in the afternoon.
There is still no option however to specify a paper ticket as opposed to e-ticket. Although the paper ticket charge of $15 is pretty rediculous anyway.
My most recent experiences with booking at twa.com have all been pretty positive. I was attempting to get all of the year-end book 4 times get 25,000 bonus miles and was able to complete that on Dec. 31st. My trick has been to book a round trip to Kansas City and then another round trip to my final destination. This results in more segments and miles and usually is the same price as just nonstop from St. Louis (this is especially true for New York and Denver).

Well, of course, I'm wrong. Apparently it was only showing S and Z fares on the dot.com deals for this weekend. No such luck for other searches in the normal reservations area. I continue to wonder why the morons at twa.com do this?
