More Complaints from EMD
I've been so crabby lately - all of my recent posts have been complaints - but here is another - I have been avoiding TWA (trying to consolidate on NW - usually NW ends up being cheaper and more convenient to my latest destinations anyway) - but had to go home to Philly last week - had a coach ticket - not even a Y - but had received an upgrade cert from TWA in the mail - so on the 8:15 from PHL to STL - got upgraded (and I must say - the people at the gate were so nice - I had left my ID at the ticket counter and someone was nice enough to run it up to the gate for me!!)
Anyway - get in my seat - so nice b/c no one was even next to me - and, much to my surprise - the only goodies offered on the flight were two bags of pretzels and two passes with the beverage cart. IN FIRST CLASS!!!
I don't really have much to complain about - sitting in fc for free - but, man, would I have been peeved if I was like the guy behind me who PAID to be in fc!!!!!

I don't know of many flights at 2015 (getting in appx 2130 to STL) that do offer meal service. They generally shut everything up appx 1930. All airlines, not just TW.

Jamiel: Ditto... at first I thought the flight was 8:15 AM... I always had something on the morning flight, though, and didn't understand what was up. Now that I know it was PM, I can second the comment that meals on domestic travel aren't served that late (in my experience). Half the pax on those flights just want to sleep, anyway. I will also add that although the "cart" doesn't come around, the FA's will serve drinks until I stop asking.
EMD: Don't worry too much about the rants -- everyone has an occassional one. I do hope your travel luck improves, though.
