Transfer of "segment award" ticket

As posted here earlier, TWA has a promotion on that rewards you with a free ticket if you fly 6 segments between Feb. and May (15th, I think), and 2 free tickets if you fly 10 segments during that time. Have flown 8 so far, and just got my first W99 award certificate. However, doesn't seem to answer whether you can use it for a spouse. Have e-mailed TWA, and called their Aviators service center, haven't gotten through to a human, and haven't gotten an answer yet. Will post it when I get it.
Anyone else get any answer on this yet?

No experience with your specific question, but I have been trying to get through to TWA for 2 weeks now to transfer some old miles to HHonors, and can't EVER get through. What's up with this?

Segment Award -
You know, and the wording on the ticket doesn't say anything to the effect of who can use it. However, when I called the Aviators Elite 1 Service Desk (no wait!) they said that it can be used by anyone in your immediate family, but "did not know" if it could be transferred to just anyone. They also told me that Immediate Family also meant the same last name (which is sort of weird!), but that I'd have to ask when I made the reservation to make sure that it was okay as well.

Steve P. -- Thanks for the great answer. I guess because I am not Elite I can't talk to a human. sort of like my bank these days, so I am switching banks!! Anyway, now that I know that, I'll fly one more trip, 2 segments on TWA to get the extra segments I need for the 2nd ticket.

Just so everyone knows, I e-mailed TWA with the question of whether my spouse could use the 2d W99 award certificate which I received. The reply:

"The second W99 certificate may be used by a family member who has the same last name. Please contact the TWA Aviators Service Center at 1 800 325 4815 to make these arrangements."
