latest TWA offers
1) Double Fare Rewards: Fly on purchased FC tickets and receive double fare rewards points plus any mileage. Available March 1 to March 31, 1999. No preregistration appears to be necessary.
2) Double miles extended through March 31 for Houston. Call 800-325-4815 and enter 23479 to preregister.
3) Double miles ends for Cincinnati, Dayton, and Philadelphia February 28th. Preregister as above for Houston (same numbers).
4) Through March 31st, double miles for St. Louis to Boston, Columbus, and Mexico City. Call 800-325-4815 and enter 23699 to preregister. I'm not certain if you connect through St. Louis that you'll get the points... I would think that would suffice, but one never knows.

Ooops... one more offer from the back page:
Fly 5 round-trips or 10 one-way TWQ segments between March 1 and October 31, 1999, and you'll earn a free upgrade to FC (continental U.S. only). The upgrade is valid six months from issue and I'm assuming this is a when you book your fare upgrade certificate.
No preregistation appears to be necessary.
Again, I am not certain if it counts when you connect through St. Louis to a TWQ city. For example, I'm flying BMI to LGA in April which connects in St. Louis. Technically I am flying the STL to LGA segment so it should.
A TWQ city, for those who may not be aware, are airports where TWA targets business travellers with the first non-stop out and last non-stop back & other flight services. The cities include at least the following: LGA, DFW, ORD, MSP, DCA, and Philadelphia. There may be a couple others that I can't recall.

EMD: Omni reply (to appease the CATCOPS)
Ummm the last time I checked BMI was a public airport therefore anyone could use it. Did you think you retained an exclusive restriction on the airport when you purchased your free FlyerTalk membership?

I'm actually two hours west of you in Quincy. I put St. Louis on my profile as a point of habit. Im one of those people who usually spend too much time responding to questions about where you from? Generalizing my current home city saves me time from not explaining when I travel in the Northeast that when I say I'm from Quincy I usually get the reply "you don't sound like you're from the Boston area".
No, not Quincy, MA, but Quincy, IL. But Im originally from New York.
Oh, THE city?
No, Phoenix.
Arizona?
No, Phoenix, NY, a small town outside Syracuse (at least it was there 25 years ago).
Oh. And for some reason then the conversation ends there.
Any way, the answer to why I use BMI is the sometimes-available three-day advance purchase $204 roundtrip to LGA (compared with the $950 last minute fare from Quincy, IL or STL). If I cant get a comparable advance purchase fare from UIN or STL, on two occasions in the last 70 days I have used BMI.
I like Bloomington. It's a nice town with an airport that still offers free parking. I used to drive through Bloomington on my way from Chicago to Quincy (to visit my parents). Well, not Chicago actually, Wilmette, a small town on the North Shore...
you get the picture.
