Favorite TW route

Though I only flew it once, mine would have to be STL-OGG. Nothing like arriving at Lambert on a grey, cold morning, boarding one the 767s in TWOne config, and arriving on beautiful Maui 8 hours later. The return trip was a bit rougher with the red-eye and the reality of going back to the real world...

I always like the DCA-STL route (flew it enough times!). However, I also enjoyed Flight 1, STL-HNL. Remember when they used to wheel a cart around FC and carve a roast at your seat?!!

STL-OGG was a great route and one of the last nice trips I took as a non-rev. Flying DCA-STL on 757s was always a nice treat, especially compared to the jungle jets that now appear on that route. Some of my other faves included:

STL-HDN
STL-JFK on 747s (#844?)
STL-LGA on L1011s (big fan of #300)

I just liked being able to go nearly anywhere in the world, usually non-stop, from this little town of mine .

Gotta agree, STL-OGG was fantastic.
STL-CDG was another favorite.

I used to love to work the JFK-CAI route. Long flight on the SP but lovely passengers and such an interesting city to layover in!

I remember JFK-SAN-ONT-LAX on a 767. That was an extra 1000 actual miles.

However I lived on the JFK-CDG-TLV flights till they ended and then it was JFK-TLV. That was around 10 times a yr.What was great was that I knew 90% of the crew so it was like traveling with Family.

I was always jealous of those OGG arrivals at STL. Getting off the plane with their hawaiian shirts.

My favorite TWA route was LAX-JFK when it was a '67. I flew flight 702 to 7702 so many times.

Those are certainly only distant and fond dreams, now.

WA used to do that as well. Another memory. Hmm, conspiracy theorists, how about that? TW and WA... dismantled by other and more rapacious airlines.
