Combining Star Alliance partner award flights
When I search for Star Alliance partner awards from Istanbul to Bangalore, only flights through Delhi or Mumbai show up. However, when I try to search for the same route (on the same dates) with Aegean Airlines Miles+Bonus, I can easily find bookable award flights through Frankfurt or Munich (fully on LH metal, or combined TK+LH). Indeed, when trying to book those as separate award flights on the Turkish Airlines website (eg. IST-FRA, plus FRA-BLR) there is award space available on both.
Of course, what I'm trying to achieve is to get them on one ticket, as it would then fall into the cheapest Turkey - Central Asia category (20k economy/35k business). It would be a whole lot of miles more if I need to book those flights individually through Miles&Smiles.
So is this just a website limitation, and would such flights be bookable if I call the Turkish Airlines helpdesk or visit a booking office? Or might there be something else at play that prevents these flights showing up, such as some married segments restrictions, geographic limits on the routing?

Basically I'm just playing around a bit with some interesting routings on which I can possibly redeem my miles on - purely from an avgeek perspective (airlines/aircraft I've never flown with). Unfortunately, the recent devaluation leaves few good aoptions, as connecting flights through IST on TK are now priced rather punitively.. Heck, even many partner flights seem insanely priced nowadays (eg North to South Africa, 115,000 miles in business??) that it really makes me think whether or not to make the switch back to Aegean M&S.
