New TK Destinations for 2024

Not strictly new but TK will be resuming its Libya operations after almost a decade since they were suspended.

I really hope that DEN starts this year. They announced the route at the same time as DFW and I flew that back in 2021!

May not belong in this thread, but TK is adding a second flight from SEA to IST in late summer/early fall. Current flight is TK204 with a 18:40 departure. I am ticketed on TK214 with a 12:15 departure.

Sydney has been announced by TK’s Chairman as starting by the end of this year with four flights per week, dovetailing with the current three flights per week to Melbourne to give them daily flights into Australia - however, we’ve seen in the past that an announcement by the Chairman or CEO doesn’t always translate into a firm deliverable, but fingers are crossed on this one… 🤞🏻

I think SYD is going to happen relatively quickly, after more than decade of announcing Australia almost every year, they are now finally on a roll. It would also seem from a small sampling of Australians living in Europe that I know that, everyone has been booking/trying to book the MEL flights because as we know TK has been very competitive on the pricing.

FWIW, here's a list of future destinations shown in investor presentations:

Lima and Phnom Penh, please! But these have been announced so many times. Just crying the wolf I guess.

Well the list is a bit pie in the sky ! There are many contenders for the route in the list most unlikely to be realised, but i reckon Abha (in KSA) wins the title.

Iasi. Really? So a LCC starts a route, to a city that 98% of the World has ever heard of, has some success with $59 flights and TK feels it immediately has to threaten to serve the route? Really?

TK has started selling DEN flights! Seems to be starting in June, three times weekly (T-Th-F) in both directions.

Looks like they are releasing 2x Y and 2x J saver seats for every flight so far- went ahead and booked a DLM-IST-DEN saver J award itinerary to replace a worse routing. Wondering if they will do an award promo like when they launched some other NA routes last year, but decided to book regardless since there was only one date that worked.
