Booking award flights phantom availability

I'm looking to book award flights today before miles expire.

Searching on https://www.turkishairlines.com/ availability shows up in I (Business Saver) and I can select outbound and inbound. However when I go to the next page it says

```Dear passenger,All our seats in the fare class you have selected are full.
Please try again by choosing a different flight.
```

Is this actually phantom availability, or could I call up to book?

Which route(s) and date(s) are you trying to book?

Quick change of question, is booking r/t cheaper than o/w for taxes?

I think I've found a good outbound flight but scared to lose it.

Just to close this - the website wouldn't let me book but the call centre has no problem booking Business Saver award (after expert flyer confirmed availability)

I booked one way which is enough to use up expiring miles. So I'm happy out

For some destination countries, yes. Airline may charge you special taxes intended for residents of the departing country on behalf of the government when you book a single outbound flight from that country.

I would say that for most destinations the answer is that even if there’s a difference the amount is negligible compared to what TK takes. Go ahead and reserve your one way if you are afraid to lose it.

I managed to book the inbound today from the website - even though expert flyer wasn't showing availability.

Overall very happy to snag round trip in I class to Kathmandu on dates that suit.
