Turkish Airlines playing tricks to avoid refund

After my flight cancellation by turkish airline, the company is asking me to come in person at a sales office to process my refund, but there is no sales office open in Bali, where I live, and traveling is almost impossible at the moment.

Shame on Turkish Airlines.

Tried to call DPS CGK and Paris during office hours, no number is answering,

Paris number is redirecting to Istanbul call center, where agents tell your they can not proceed refund and you have to call Paris sales office.

I m really pissed with TK at the moment.

I agree, in the past years for some reason TK has made it more difficult to call ticket offices. For the Copenhagen ticket office there is no longer a number, except for the general TK call center number.

Maybe try to email them?

I have found the following options for Email: crm.paris@thy.com / [email protected]

Or maybe option to submit Feedback via form?

Good luck!

There is a number to their ticket office at CPH but they never pick up the phone - so it doesn't really matter. It was very difficult to even find a real person there (before Covid-19).

I had someone told me that the Jakarta city sales office responds to e-mails and helped to sort out an issue with an *A award when COVID first hit.

I have no idea about their current situation.

By the way, both of the Istanbul city offices are functional ( open for walk-ins ) but they don't have an e-mail or a phone number so you could reach them.

Hi ISTFlyer, I have emailed both Jakarta and Denpasar offices today,

Kaspars I submitted feedback via form, and got a reply the next day that they cannot process the refund and advise me to go in person at a TK sales office, which they already know there is none where I live.

I was trusting TK refund policy until today, I don t trust them anymore.

Just out of curiosity, does this ticket have anything complicated like partially voucher payment, partner airline rebooking, involuntary rebooking to a higher fare class, ELPL vouchers, etc...

Hi ISTFlyer and thank you for your advice.
The ticket is a redemption ticket amd was reissued due to date change by TK (2 days), then a few weeks later TK cancelled the new scheduled flight.

You should call them. Ticket desk should be able to sort it out.

If you have made reasonable efforts to call, send an email requesting a refund. Then, initiate a chargeback on your credit card if there is no response. Make certain that you submit the backup documentation with your written chargeback. Include the e-ticket receipt, the notice of cancellation & your request for a refund. Note that you have tried to call.

TK hotline agents are mostly outsourced and they don't have the full power as a ticketing specialist at the headquarters or at local sales offices have.
This is the issue in this case where the hotline agents are not authorized to perform a refund for the OP's ticket.
