Yes, worst case scenario calling TK is that you would get a no.
By the way, out of curiosity, how did you understand TK took over the booking when you re-booked. I have never heard TK taking control of an OTA booking other than last-minute changes or extraordinary situations.

Ask from sales office to rebook first, not through the Contact Center.

What I meant was the same thing as you mentioned, the hotline would 99.99% not take over any OTA bookings.

A sales office might work but still, they need to call the back office in the IST HQ and get permission. Also, they would not touch an OTA booking just because the passenger requested, they need a valid reason to touch them.

For those who are wondering about the future of the UAE routes, there is an update.

The UAE has suspended issuing visas for Turkish citizens so this shouldn't seem like a positive move on the situation.

For me, they actually cancelled the original booking and made new ones that they confirmed by email.
