Looks like it should open any day now. Just looks like they are putting some final touches to the lounge.

That's excellent to hear. I'm passing through Dulles on August 26th - hope I'll be able to check it out then.

I like that it is actually flagged as a Star Gold lounge. Star Gold lounges can be accessed when flying ANY Star carrier.

They were working on a lounge in JFK as well, any updates on that?

I looked into the lounge on Monday and it seems it is still weeks away from being done. The inside was totally un-decorated, the flat screen TV still in the box, etc.

The exterior/entrance looks beautiful! Hope it's on par, food-wise, with the VS UC lounge TK currently uses at IAD!

Inside it does appear there is a lot of work to do still. It could be done in a couple weeks for sure, but I suspect a mid-September opening.

Looks like folks on UA forum are already wondering if UA*G flying on domestic itineraries would be admitted

You bet UA *G are following this development anxiously. LH Senator Lounge has been a real treat for us on domestic flights.

I can't wait to see what TK Lounge offers compared to LH Senator Lounge. The fact that TK currently uses VS UC Lounge is a good sign that TK will have a high standard. Given that TK *G have access to LH Senator Lounge, I assume TK Lounge will be at least as good, if not better, than LH Senator Lounge.

This looks nice and really hope it's a true *G lounge and they don't SQ on us. Not totally convenient if you're travelling on UA but it's closer to the tram than LH.

Anyhow, somewhat curious what is happening to the Virgin/Emirates lounge?

I have a bad feeling about this.

Since UA 1P/2P/1K (without UC membership and without GS) can't access UC with domestic flights (doesn't matter anyway since they'll choose CIP regardless), they'll all be flooding this lounge, especially with IAD being connected through out entire areas airside. Unless TK is planning on raking in lounge access revenues from other *A FFPs which I doubt UA would be too thrilled about. (When M&S members use it it's a cost, but when other *G members use it it's charged toward their respective FFPs)

This would be different if they set up CIP lounge(s) at ORD, JFK, and BOS since TK is flying out of those airports at exclusive terminals (T5, T1 and Intl) and other *G leeches won't be able to get to them. BTW, the lounges at ORD are absolutely horrendous as I have used both Swiss and Swissport lounges, I ended up leaving and eating at food court outside.

So, I am not getting my hopes up and will continue to use Maple Leaf lounge at YYZ for TK flights out of NA.
