Yes.

I thought if we don't get a card, we'll get a sticker to be pasted at the last page of our passport?

What if they deny entry to the GE lane at immigration? There's no way to prove that we're a GE member without some sort of identification?

This is absurd as non-US passport holders w/ Global Entry can't even get the card.

No it isn't. You should always carry your GE card, since if the computer systems go down, you just have to flash your GE card then to get through. Non-US Passport holders should not get a GE Card or they would be able to slip through customs. Makes perfect sense.

I would have just ignored them both and continued to the GE machine.

Has anyone ever had an issue using GE when arriving in ATL?

Reentered through ATL late last year and breezed right through.

Yes, US and Mexican citizens (and US LPRs) do get the card, but the core point is that no one else gets it.

And the sticker is no longer issued.

Meaning that most non US citizens (who have often paid additional screening fees on top of the $100 GE fee), get worse treatment wherever there are clueless agents/helpers. Even some CBP agents don't know that I'm not eligible for a card...

Thanks! I couldn't find the answer on their web site.

I've used GE a handful of times and never been asked to produce a GE card. I've been verbally asked if I have GE, to which I say yes and use the kiosk. Nobody has ever asked to see the sticker.

Used NEXUS for the second time today and there was a CBSA officer checking to make sure people had NEXUS cards before they used the kiosk (kind of makes since as NEXUS kiosks read the member cards, not the passport).

I generally keep it in my wallet and use it as my primary ID at TSA checkpoints. Outside of airports people generally don't recognize the ID or think it's real (it is super generic looking...)

I've been monitoring this thread for a while.

You do not need the GE card unless you are crossing land borders back to the US and wish to use the dedicated NEXUS/SENTRI/Ready lanes. That's the only time GE card is required.

Got the funniest response to this entering a gated community yesterday. Their less-than-brilliant security thought it was an identity card issued by the country of Nexus..

Not quite correct. The cruise port terminals in Ft Lauderdale now have Global Entry lanes but no kiosks. The only way to access the GE lanes and get "expedited" entrance is to show your GE card. Supposedly they're going to try kiosks but only two machines in one terminal for a 90-day test.

I agree. It would help if we could at least get the passport sticker that was used in the past.

I've wondered if there's any reason not to just print your own sticker? It doesn't seem too wise, but if you're a GE member then there's no harm caused, and the design doesn't seem to be protected.
