Long time lurker here... Maybe some info for the other lurkers...
Applied 7/18/2019
CA 2/7/2020
Interview & approval (upon arrival) 2/10/2020
Emailed dhs 3 times, got same canned response except for last email saying they will escalate my case. I went out of the country and just arrived at SFO, checked my status on the phone and found out I got CA. I went straight to the interview on arrival and now approved.
Good luck to those who are still waiting...

Dave Stewart You got it! I mean, I have to believe they'll never actually let it get that bad... but yeah, you're looking at 1 year wait if nothing changes. How delightful

Initial Enrollment Application (and $100 payment) on 7/18/2019 - took 208 days to Conditional Approval on 2/11/2020. Looking at July 2020 for an appointment in Atlanta. Hopefully there will be cancellations. I'll try to drop in every time I go to the ATL airport to try to get in earlier. Fun!

Applied in September for three minors, still waiting.
I wish I could take it back and just do Prescheck now. That’s more critical than Global Entry. Two of mine have aged out of automatic precheck and were forced to go in the regular line last time.

Probably have another month or two before CA if current estimates are accurate. Sigh. Just for fun, I called the CBP customer service number. Pleasantly surprised that I got to speak with a human in about three minutes. I asked about the long wait for CA and whether it would it be possible to expedite the application since I'm beyond six months. She was very polite, seemed mildly embarrassed, and said that there is no such thing as expediting an application. She said they have no access to the applications and can't check anything or flag anything. When asked why there is such a huge difference in wait times (spouse got CA in two weeks), she said that applications are randomly sent to different processing centers, and some centers are faster and more caught up than others. She said they are not processed chronologically, that it's just the luck of the draw. Also, the application itself (countries traveled to, etc) has no baring on the wait time. She apologized many times. Sigh.

Global Entry in 12 days
My son applied for and paid the fee on Feb 1st. Was conditionally approved on Feb 3rd. Because we were going to be in NYC end of February, I scheduled his interview in downtown Manhattan. Because of the recent changes in NY there are plenty of appts available. We live in Nashville and there were zero appointments available in Nashville airport. Checked again every day for Nashville appts and one opened up the beginning of March so changed to that one. Checked it this morning and one opened up this afternoon so he went to it today. Two weeks might be a record!! Our other son is waiting on his renewed passport so we shall see how long his takes when we can finally apply. Fingers crossed for more good luck since we leave end of May for Europe.

I have been a long time follower of this thread. I feel obligated to contribute my data point now that I have something to share:
Applied: 7/22/2019
CA: 2/13/2020
The previously posted formula pointed to an early March approval. I believe that the cancellation of all New York applications has resulted in an increase in processing speed for everyone else.
