In many ways she is a great girlfriend -- but definitely not a great travel partner.

For further (or actually previous) accounts of my adventures while traveling and the UIG please see My pre-trip report.

Best trip report ever. ^

I'm anxiously awaiting the movie version: "My Big Italian Vacation".

It seems that this was the best part of the trip

Also, surely one of the mosy inconsistent creatures on earth: Either it is too good because not everyone can have it or it is not good enough.... The mind boggles.
She must be great in some 'circumstances' that you put up with her....

That's odd . . . I was wondering why she puts up with Dov.

It never bothered me when all of her friends told her she was too good for me. It didn't even bother me when my friends told her that. It did, however, get to be a bit much when my children told her the same thing.

It's not paranoia when everyone is out to get you.

Does anyone else find it ironic that all he's done is complaining about her complaining. LMAO...

After reading all of your complaining... I've started to feel similar to how you felt.

I have no doubt in my mind that his UIG's complaining is one of the things that endears her to Dovster.

She is not usually a complainer (except when it comes to all things American). However, she is an extremely bad traveler. In fact, I have learned that when she flies into Israel it is wisest to avoid seeing her for at least two days.

I knew in advance that the combination of a 16 hour itinerary TLV-FLL and being in the US would turn La Signora Hyde into Il Dottore Jekyll, which is why I dreaded this trip ever since she said that if Obama won she would visit the States.

Of course, it didn't help matters when she heard me coming back into our hotel room at 6 am and asked me where I had been -- and I admitted going to Dunkin' Donuts for an early morning fix.

Dovster,

If you had wanted to be really nasty and were on separate reservations you always could have ditched her. I went to a movie with girl who liked to complain and got annoyed, so I said I was going to the bathroom and ditched her. I then met my friends at the bar. The problem was solved with no more complaints and I had a much better evening.

Dovster is far too much of a gentleman to do that.

Did I mention that her godfather's name is Don Guido?

I used to use process servers named, "Guido and Guido." I found them exceptionally effective.
