Thanks for the trip report.
I was lucky enough to book 5 tix on V Australia for >$500 each a few months back and am taking the family to Australia in June.
Thanks,
Onedog

(Virgin Group, you listening? I'm between jobs right now, and have lots of time on my hands but not all that much extra cash, so free tickets are always welcome! Want a more detailed blog of someone's experiences on the new Virgin round-the-world fare? I've been a professional writer. Give me tickets, itinerary, and as many guidelines as you want, and you've got it.)[/QUOTE]
Got what exactly?

Thank you for such a great and thorough report! I'm on the 3/20 flight and was a bit worried about flying in the first month of service while everything was getting figured out. I couldn't be more encouraged by your review sounds like all the bugs were real minor.

"Got more" trip report, of an entire RTW trip on Virgin group airlines, with more details, more prompt pictures, etc.! Since they're having a $2499 promo for RTW tickets now, they might like more info out there from someone who actually took the trip....
And some of you will be happy to hear that I have finally procured a replacement cable and will be able to load my pics soon.

My wife and I got upgraded to business on V Australia from LAX to SYD in April and while it is very nice it doesn't begin to compare with CX or SQ. The seats are quite narrow for business class although they do convert to flat beds. I thought the food was mediocre at best. I had the snapper and it is quite dry, but my wife did like her pasta. Service was very friendly and attentive and we did get nice Givenchy amenity kits. I guess for the price it would be worth it, but don't expect anything too luxurious.
