Matthexlax, I was searching for just such a report as yours, as I am also contemplating the Swiss service from LAX -- thanks so much for all the great detail. How interesting that people like you and me too I think, can find their seats completely sufficient for a full 7 hours of sleep; full-flat beds are really NOT necessary at least not for everybody, the excellent service creates the basis for a great flight. Sounds like, for a bus. experience, heading east from LA, there is probably no other carrier now that can beat them -- not to mention the great connections from Zurich. Thanks again for sharing.

Flyerholic, I know there must be plenty of LX/LH comparison threads on here, but we'd appreciate your input here too, especially as it's out of LA...

Thanks everyone for your comments.

I just flew LX F from JFK-ZRH and LOVED their new First Class product. It was absolutely sensational. When I get some time, I will post a report.

I flew back in LH F and while the product was solid, LX was much better, IMO.

I had to reschedule a flight from ZRH-ORD in the new Swiss Business Class next week, but look forward to trying that out too in December.

LX continues to impress me...
