A380 - Montreal - Paris CDG - route verification flight operated by Airbus/AirFrance

Air France and Airbus Industries will operate a route verification flight flight with an A380 from CDG to YUL on November 12th. The A380 will leave CDG at 11:00AM to land in YUL at 12:35PM.
The return flight will leave YUL at 10:00PM on the 15th of Nov. to land the next morning in CDG at 10:45AM.
Because of close contact between myself and AF management as a result of FT I got a phone call asking me if I wanted to be on that flight. As you all can imagine I said yes without hesitating since I am sure, this non-commercial flight will be a once in a lifetime experience and I'd like to say that I am very excited and thankful that AirFrance gave me the opportunity to be on the flight from Montreal to Paris with Freddie Jr and even better - I got a free flight from Strasbourg to Montreal to be able to board that flight. In this thread I will share my Montreal trip with the FlyerTalk community.

Here's the information/schedule I was given so far:

Nov14th SXB-CDG AF 7763 Fokker100
Nov14th CDG-YUL AF 346 777-300 new configuration.

Nov15th YUL-CDG AIB380/1X380P operated on A380 in Airbus Livery

I will try to make as many photos as possible and post everything here in this thread. FYI, this is NOT the livery and interiour, AirFrance will use for their regular flight, but the A380-test-configuration.

Departure at YUL
- 18H30 – 20H45 : check-in in zone AF/KL
- seats are pre-assigned. no change possible.
- 20H45 : boarding gate 55
on board
- meal type «Affaires» in all cabins
- crew will be AirFrance and Airbus
- all cabins can be visited inflight
- 11H00 : scheduled arrival at CDG
- classic CDG arrival procedure (customs and immigration)

after that flight I plan to return to Strasbourg on the TGV.

Very cool!

Since it is for Air France, I suspect that it will be an GP7200 powered A380.

If it is the same a/c that came to Hartford last month, then it will be fitted-out with several rows of the old Air France J seats.

Enjoy the flight, it will be memorable experience.

Looking forward to your report; I was unaware there were other engines than RR fitted to A380s, so I've learned something else.

Congrats and enjoy. ^
