Hi there
I flew STN-JFK-STN recently and have to say I was somewhat dissapointed vs. previous reports of the service on EOS. There were no escorts on either side, and I found the cabin crew to be somewhat un-engaged. The only time I was called by name was on boarding the ac when they looked at my boarding pass, and service was what I would call somewhat slow and inpersonal.
That said, there were no queues at any point (except immigration at JFK) and the lounge at STN is outstanding. Very personal service and really very tranquil. The seats are pretty good- I would say somewhere between BA F and J, but I do have a bugbear with the portable entertainment system- you are forever moving it about to find space before, during and after meals and when the battery runs out you have to plug it in meaning wires all over the place- much easier to have the mounted screens. My only other issus is that the 757 is pretty noisy- I found myself having to sleep with earplugs in, something I haven't had to do in a long time on the 747/777.
