In Atlanta again....
I need some quick advice....
I left Kuwait on 30JAN05 to arrive in Atlanta after experiencing flight delays in Paris... Anyway, needless to say the delays in Atlanta were not any better... Here were my problem came in... I had a small bag that contained the following: a Rolex watch (purchased two years ago), a flim flex watch (power puff girls special edition) and two bottles of mens fragrance that I purchased on the flight from Paris to Atlanta
Any way after the very grueling process of getting through customs, I was directed to a re-ticketing counter. It took me about 40 minutes to get clear and receive my ticket. I went directly to my gate D35. Upon arrival I was immediately throw into a lot of confusion regarding the flight departure time. I stood in line with everyone else to get the latest information. I placed my small bag on the counter. I left the counter and went to mens room for grooming (after all at this point I was traveling for close to 21 hours)
After realizing that I had forgotten my bag, I returned to the counter. I spoke to Delta Airlines representative Lovie Legg and Rita Cobb.
Ms. Legg informed me that she had given my bag to a customer with a request that he deliver the bag to gate T4 because she believed I was headed to the same location
She asked me to go to the same gate and retrieve my package. When I made it to the gate it was closed. I contacted the first Delta Representative with a request to speak to a supervisor. I was Stan James who identified himself as a supervisor. He used his handheld radio to contact both gates and was not able to locate my package.
Stan requested that I return to my gate. I returned to the gate and was advised that my flight was ready for take off. No one offered to do a report regarding my missing items. I was told by Ms. Cobb that I could process my report at my final destination. I refused. I went to the ticketing counter and requested a second supervisor. She booked me on a flight for the next day, recorded the details of the incident and gave me a hotel room
She asked me to return to the delta ticket counter the next day.
I am headed to the airport after I finish this letter. I am a little disappointed that I could make all the way from Iraq with m items and soon as I get to Atlanta I loose everything through the hand of my Delta ticketing agants.

Understand your frustration, but it was you who left your bag adrift. Seems to me that the Delta agents acted in good faith trying to reunite you with your bag, however poorly executed. I hope the issue gets resolved in a satisfactory manner and you recover your bag.
