Lake Express Ferry
Just a quick thread to let the Flyertalk network know about a new travel opportunity to cross Lake Michigan!
I had the pleasure of Traveling From Muskegon, MI to Milwaukee, WI on the new "Lake Express" ferry between the two cities. This service just started in late April! For those not familiar with the area, This ferry cuts off the nasty roads around Chicago and Fort Wayne and several hours of travel time for those wanting to go from WI to MI.
A late boarding and somewhat confused setup at Muskegon, was made fine by very comfortable "business class" seating and table side service. Take my advice, spend the extra 15$ for business class!
This ferry makes trip in 2.5 hours and prices between 50 and 65$. Up to 45 cars can be accomdated. In it's short lifetime it has become quite popular with the two cities, taking day travelers across the lake in quick order.
