SIN DO is just a week away, and yes definitely hoping to make the inaugural A380.

So my routing was to be AKL-SIN-BKK-SIN-EWR-SIN-BKK-SIN-AKL (all on SQ).
The routing is certainly an extremely expensive and exhausting way to experience history. It just amazes me what some people would do. Even as excellent as SQ Raffles is, I would NEVER do a SIN-EWR-SIN turnaround on the same day and spend a bloody 36 hours in the air even if I was paid to do so and the ability to earn numerous mileages & sectors.

In case luck has it that you receive such offer in the future, please let us know as I am sure there are many here who would.

Sure, you can have it if it's going to help you maintain your solitare status.

Hi there

I agree, an excellent report, in fact i was late for work this morning spending too much time reading it. I explained to my boss why i was late (and about Flyertalk), and three hours later, he was still flicking thru threads.

I don't think he has ever been out of Victoria (other than across the NSW border when VIC did not have pokies) let alone anywhere near an airplane.

He also doesn't understand why i keep asking for day's off to, in his term's ride airplanes for no apparent reason, hopefully he will be educated by FT

Cheers

It was a very memorable time.
Now, we are looking forward for the inaugural flight on SQ A380.

I stumbled accross this thread, and was surprised! I never realised that this could be a hobby!

Dude, I think you guys are completely bonkers No offence!
I get fed up half way through when flying AMS-JFK and you sit in airplanes for 4 days in a row and are actually enjoying it! And my DVD-player and TV at home have never let me down in the past 6 years or so

This is strange but cool passion you have.
I'll enjoy reading more of these reports!

I have to say this madness has been inspired by your fabulous TR of SQ's SIN-EWR-SIN double inaugural some time back!

FT'er "SteveTas" & Isabelle (whom you describe as "the non-FT'er from PER") are also with us to London, as is "CDG1". Please try hard to join us on the MEL-LAX QF A380 inaugural in August this year. At present we also have 3 booked on the Emirates A380 "First Flight" in October.

Thanks to your inspiration we have turned the "inaugural marathon" into an art form!

Feel free to monitor our madness at www.FirstToFly.net
I inspired more madness?
