Lovely report, thanks. Last time I went it was August - the heat and volume of people made it hard to enjoy, but we did.
I look forward to Riga as I am there at some point in June.

Great pictures. Low season is the way to go, I assume Dubrovnik is still very popular during the summer.
I enjoyed my visit a few years ago, maybe time for a return.
Thanks

Very nice trip report. We were there IIRC in June of 2019 for a week and it was manically busy. Fortunately we had car and an AirBnB a little way out of town so we could escape the crowds. There are some great eating, swimming and sunbathing spots along the coast to chill out on. So Dubrovnik is well worth a visit, but choosing the right time of year is critical.

Thank you for the interesting TR DeathSlam. Following in the well travelled footsteps of JapesUK we are visiting Riga at the end of May Bank holiday weekend. Far fewer steps up and down then Dubrovnik which will suit me. I wouldn't mind visiting Dubrovnik but having reduced mobility it won't be an easy task so it is very much at the lower end of the list for me.
