London Foodie Football Trip
A picture heavy foodie trip of London!
AA Flagship Checkin - JFK
First stop #2 fav coffee spot!
(#1 is Blue Bottle - thank you Nestle for not fukking it up!)
Flat white with oat milk and the best banana bread.
Birthday lunch at Fallows!
Counter seating; controlled chaos.
Came here for the mushroom parfait.
Beef ribs - very good.
Said mushroom parfait; rich, umami, absolutely worth the hype.
Welch rarebit flatbread.
Hen of the wood burger.
Chelsea whey tart - WOW!
Dinner at SFO777 and my favorite Indian restaurant in London. Missing the man, myth, legend.
Papads.
Salmon tikka - always 🤯
Duck seekh kebab - my fav thing here.
Shrimp curry with green mangoes.
Daal - reminds me of mom.
Kheer. Up there with the Chelsea tart.
Day 3: squeezed in a dinner with good friend, Jarvis (@theluxurytraveller on IG) - Pavylon in the Park Lane Four Seasons.
Amuse Bouche.
Devon crab crispy tartlet.
Steamed Comte cheese souffl with eel butter.
Confit cod basquaise style with white bean pure.
Strawberrys in balsamic with basil whipped cream - yummy.
Hazelnut icecream with coffee and cardamom sauce.
Day 2 lunch at Brat in Shoreditch.
Makes my Top 10 all time
Sea bass.
Bread with ash butter.
Roasted Scallops.
Grilled bread with courgette and spenwood. Absolutely amazing.
Peppers - meh
Grilled leeks with cheese - so simple and yet so good.
Asparagus with crab; inject the sauce into my veins.
Pollock with potatoes. I love the Spanish people.
Burnt cheese cake and creme caramel. Let down after Fallows and Trishna desserts.
British Asian bakery - Arome.
Art.
What people come here for.
The honey toast was rich, sweet, crunchy, spectacular.
Best friend for 40 years. F Chelsea. Horrible experience sitting with the home crowd pretending to be a fan 😂
Salt in the wounds with a big win and leapfrogging my Manchester United.
AA First back with a crew bag hogging up limited space - specialist in failure!
Pathetic.
But Pret makes it better.
One for SFO777 😂😂😂

A terrible tactical error reading this at 03:30, now so hungry!
Looks amazing, apart from the bit where people were chasing a bag of wind around a field

I got to spend some time with Peter on Friday last week. He was working behind the counter. We discussed Melbourne and his fav coffee places in his home country. Great guy.

Well, reading it after an extensive Asparagus-dinner followed by chocolate pralines helps😉

Asparagus with crab; inject the sauce into my veins.
When one says “inject the sauce”, I usually make it a point to order. And thus, I will do so with pick line inserted come my October trip.

Man, and you think I eat a lot. That's insane. Great foodie pics... so jealous of your dinner at Trishna. Thinking of going to the FA Cup Final in a couple of weeks as an excuse for dinner at Trishna.
But come on man, just because AA gave you back your CK status, doesn't mean you have to fly them.

Villa tonight against Liverpool!
I'm afraid in the West Midlands where I live we are rather Villa focused.
Respect to you both as Footie Fans!
Should you ever come to Birmingham I think I need to introduce you to the Chip Shop on the way into Villa Park!
Curry Sauce a Bonus!
Cannot beat the atmosphere and I cannot wait for the game!
Lagers are out already in anticipation!
Thanks for the posts as you 2 always make me eat more watch hing your food porn!

You are probably rooting for City tomorrow, who with a win can confirm your Champions League. Villa will have hard time getting a result at Crystal Palace next week.

Fantastic report, DFW_CK. I really need to try Trishna after seeing it mentioned in so many places. Or maybe it's best to stay uneducated and stick with my current favorite Dishoom...
