I’ve just checked in for tomorrows flights home and the AF app is clearly learning from BAs app in so far as it resolutely refuses to issue boarding passes for my apple wallet. I’ll give it a try later, maybe there’s some sort of process lag.

Having lingered over the beer it’s time to get moving as the hotel terrace that our fellow FTer has suggested as a meeting point is a gentle twenty minute stroll away. I do like these random diversions as I can guarantee I would not have come through here otherwise!

The hotel is gorgeous and the view coming out of the hotel onto the terrace was a definite ‘wow’ moment

Not being prepared to wait quite so long I decided to go over to the cathedral. This is heavily commercialised with a ten euro fee for entry to the cathedral, fifteen euros to include the tower. I decided I’d pass on the tower and just tour the cathedral. The entrance fee includes an audio guide if you choose. |
I have just walked the full length of the Picasso museum queue on the way to my next stop so I counted it, 387 people! I doubt the back of that queue will ever get in, it is not moving

A good walk later and back at the hotel. My watch told me what my feet were already screaming, that I’d surpassed 20K steps today. To be honest I’m happy to be back at the hotel, and ready for beer and food, not eaten since breakfast.

After a couple of hours catching up with a few work tasks I needed to complete before Monday and at the same time enjoying a cool beer or two, it was time to head inside as it was starting to be a bit chilly. This seemed the opportunity to have the ham and eggs I failed to order last night :D

This one was done exactly right and was excellent and nicely filling, just as I had hoped. Good morning from a soon to be sunny Malaga.
A bit of a lay in this morning and it’s near 9am. Car to the airport is booked for 10:30 so time for a leisurely breakfast, unlike yesterday. Breakfast buffet is as extensive as yesterday so not just a weekend thing, and it’s time to start as most travel days do https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...fcbfee037.jpeg Currently both flights are reporting on time but checking the weather and the storm that is currently battering England is still going to be a thing, the forecast at Newcastle is 40Kph winds all day and into the night, we shall see what we get, if we do get to Newcastle the landing is likely to be characterful Next stop: Malaga airport in about two hours time |

The lift and stairs up to the lounge are on the right after you exit duty free. You arrive onto this concourse on the second floor
