Nice report. Off to Sofia and surroundings in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the useful information.

Really good read, thanks for the trip report. Ive not done the SOF run yet so found it all very interesting.

Favourite comment of the report, and of the week, but this kind of stuff was science fiction when I was a kid.

I work in IT and I still marvel about what we take for granted versus the norm when I started over 40 years ago when there was no internet and no PCs in general circulation

Group 1 was called for boarding into the staging area before everyone had exited the plane, so you should be able to go straight through to boarding as you get off.
I take it theres no conformance on clearing security then with the B2B as the first scan of the return boarding pass is presumably to actually get onto the plane?

Was your trip all one ticket or separate itineraries?

I didn't do any back to backs, I just witnessed two of them. In SOF, I saw someone I knew get off the plane while I was in the holding pen to board and then immediately (less than 2 minutes) come join me in the holding pen to get back on again. Obviously you will need to be hand baggage only and already checked in for the return flight. You will maybe get a better answer if you ask in one of the B2B threads rather than a trip report by a lightweight.
My trip was all on one 125 stock ticket as a BA holiday, but you won't be able to do quite the same now as the rules have changed to only allow one exit from the UK.

Luxembourg

I live in Luxembourg, so it was nice to read about a tourist view of the city. Nice travel report, and it has put Sofia on my list.
