Very nice review (brought to the top under unfortunate circumstances ).

It's also a good reminder of how BA C and F are behind the times. Flagship Dining has been one of the few bright spots in the AA universe. The new lounges at JFK in conjunction with BA are pretty good too.

Thanks so much for the comments!

I think you mean the forward J cabin washrooms on the upper deck? They are indeed special (size-wise). I like the A380 First seat, but do agree that the newer 787 and 77W seat is better overall.

It will be interesting to see what BA do with them when they move First to the upper deck during the Club Suite refit.

I agree that BA's First menus aren't very ambitious, but I find the food to be better than most (but certainly not all) business class products.

I'd love to try a private jet one day! That would make for quite the trip report.

Outbound was a disaster, but inbound was pretty good.

We used Avios for this trip, and an Amex 2for1 voucher. I think Qatar Airways J food (Qsuite or not) is generally on a par with BA F - sadly it makes no sense to connect via DOH when going to the US from Europe.

Isn't that the truth!

Certainly do - FFD was the highlight of the aviation parts of our trip!

I generally agree, but there are many tweaks needed. See my report here: The New AA / BA Premium Experience at JFK Terminal 8

I think so. I never flew BA J on a long haul and was never on the A380 upper deck.
