Best thing about starting our trips out at PSP, is that the airport is rarely busy. It was a very run-of-the-mill flight over to DFW

VGML meal (btw Nutri Grain bar is definitely not vegan)

American Airlines Flagship Lounge at DFW

This lounge is what makes connecting at DFW so much better than them mayhem at the lounges at PHX.

Lounge was maybe 50% full while we were there

Fresh bottles of champagne

Sometimes some instant noodles really hit the spot when traveling

This flight left almost 2 hours late, cutting into our layover at JFK. Other than that, it was a quiet and unexceptional flight

Warm nuts

VGML - lentils, quinoa, roasted veg, and hummus & veggie sticks

Greenwich Lounge at JFK
We were excited to get a few drinks and take a quick shower before our flight to Helsinki. We made a quick stop at our gate to do a document check, and then up to the lounge. Unfortunately, not only were the showers out of commission, the lounge was a disaster. 2/3 of the liquor bottles were empty, the cold drink refrigerators were mostly empty, and most of the tables were dirty. Quite the disappointment

Empty checkin desk?

No bartenders/staff to be found??

Mostly empty dry bar

Finnair A330-300
Business Class

Boarding started on time, and was fairly orderly. Once onboard, we were excited to see the new business class seats we’d heard so much about. We both ended up really liking the extra amount of space they provide.

A330-300 at the gate at JFK

We chose seats in the middle, since we were going to sleep most of the flight anyway

Headphone storage

Table stowed

Entertainment screen

Foot well, blanket, and mattress pad

Marimekko napkins and glass

VGML - dinner of grilled tofu, grilled veggies, a roll, and some fruit

VGML - breakfast

Overall it was a pleasant experience. Everyone kept the shades down for most of the flight, service was quick, and we got a lot of rest.

Great pics of the vegan meals. Do you think AY meant to serve the salad with dinner and the fruit with breakfast?
